The Taj Mahal The Taj Mahal

A quick blog entry for The Taj Mahal, one of the wonders of the world... Even on my third visit to the Taj, i felt as if it was actually the first time i've been there! Fantastic... Clearly matches what people describes as the "the epitome of love" or even "a monument of immeasurable beauty".

One would say it's only a tomb, but when you go down the history, the way Shah Jahan built it, the reason he built it, the materials used, the craftsmanship etc... It is as stunning as I'd hoped it would be and an absolute must see in a lifetime.

The Taj Mahal is just on the bank of river Yamuna and is a majestically standing monument built in white marble... According to history, it was built by "Shah Jahan" as a token of love for his wife "Mumtaz".

Although the trip from Delhi to Agra was quite tiring with 6hrs stuck in a van with a few friends, the journey was definitely worth it. One quick piece of advice, go as early as you can so that you get more time over there... Time flies once you are visiting the Taj.

The beauty is not only what you see, but to be able to touch the marble and feel the inlaid design and carving is beautiful beyond imagination.

I will adding some photos online in the next few days if my slow slow internet gets better

Anyway guys & girls, if you going to India or planning to go, have a visit to the Taj, while it's still there...

Cheers
